Mazuz v. Amtrak; Metrolink, et al.

Stoll, Nussbaum & Polakov has been fighting Amtrak for over two years in a case arising out of a major train collision in Chatsworth, California. The accident happened only a few thousand feet from the location of the recent devastating crash where 25 people were killed and many more seriously injured. In the case of Nueva vs. John Deere Insurance Company, Mr. Stoll, in a nine year battle, fought to the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Stoll prevailed on a complex issue involving insurance coverage and Federal transportation regulations. He won for his client about $1,000,000 from an insurance policy the defendant claimed provided only $15,000 in coverage.

Clay v. AAA Automotive Transport, et al.

In a truck vs. auto accident near the Arizona border, Mr. Stoll obtained over $28,000,000 for his clients in one of the largest cases of its kind. Complex issues involving insurance coverage and questions about fault had to be overcome in order to obtain the result.

Quintania v. State of Califonia, et al.

When a crane dropped a 20,000 lb. steel “I” beam onto the San Diego Freeway, a motorist was killed. The law firm of Stoll, Nussbaum & Polakov recovered over $6.5 million for his widow.

Brown v. O.J. Simpson, et al.

Robert J. Stoll, representing the Brown family, filed the civil lawsuit on against O.J. Simpson. Mr. Simpson was found liable in civil court for the killing of Nicole Brown-Simpson. Mr. Stoll was also a frequent commentator on NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN during the Simpson case.

DiBernardo vs. Staples Center

Mr. Stoll recovered nearly $1,000,000 for the victim of an assault at the Staples Center.

In a case of investor fraud, Mr. Stoll obtained a judgment of approximately $7,000,000 for the wronged investors.

In a truck vs. bicycle accident which occurred in the Lake Forest area of Orange County, Mr. Stoll obtained a judgment in excess of $35,000,000. He represented a 70 year old man who was run over by an inattentive driver of a pick-up truck.

When a drunk driver drove off the road, Mr. Stoll obtained a recovery of $10,000,000 for an innocent passenger.
